Computer Experiences Starting university (Mathematics/Astronomy) in 1975, and a first employment with a software house as junior-consultant/programmer/-system-analyser in 1978, I have a 25 years computer experience. Over the years I applied computers (1) as a personal user, (2) as a professional programmer/system analyzer, and (3) as a (academic) researcher. In the (also recent) past I (4) organized and conducted various computer training courses. In several projects I (5) advised on matters of hard- and software, or was (6) as project teamleader in charge and accountable for small PC-net-works and all operations. Platforms and hardware:

Mainframes :	since 1975, and mainly during the seventies/eighties
Mini systems :	since 1977, VAX, Local Area Networks : IBM-5280, IBM S32, S34, S36 etc.
Micro systems :	PC since introduction: Apple (1980), IBM-PC (1982), PC-networks since 1988
Hardware :	PC and PC environments

Software :

OS :	IBM-DOS, Microsoft-DOS (all versions since V1.01), Olivetti-DOS, DOS-Plus, Windows 3.1, '95, '98, NT, 2000, Me, XP Home and XP Professional Editions.
RPG	RPG II, RPG III, DE/RPG.
SPSS - SPSS/PC	since early DOS V1.0 version. Also most Windows versions: Universals, Basics, Advanced Statistics, Tables, Trends, Data Entry, Graphics, Categories, Mapping, etc.
SPSSx	Mainframe and VAX experience with SPSSx.
SAS	Mainframe and PC-version.
SLSS	incl. HOMALS, PRINCALS, PRIMALS, ANACOR, SMACOF, CANALS etc.

• During my carreer I have worked with several thousands of different computer software, programmes and/or specific PC-Packages such as a diversity of editors, databases, spreadsheets, statistical programmes, GIS programmes, programming languages, programmers tools, graphical programmes, financial software, office software, virus scanners, windows tweaking tools, multimedia applications, download tools, security applications, system maintenance applications and many, many more.
  
  
  

• On the Internet I have a lot of experience with internet technologies, interface design, e-mail systems, browsers, building Web sites, Internet protocol such as HyperText Markup Language (HTML), searchbots, communication programmes, multimedia, ICQ, Chat and Online alert, diagnostic tools, spam filters, adware and spyware removal tools, finger, ping and ftp programmes, newsreaders, anti-virus scanners and hundredss of internet applications and utilities.

• I have also knowledge of PC networks and Internet connectivity. I have knowledge of local area networks (LAN) and wireless networks (WLAN) and how to use dial-up tools and communication managers for internet connections by telephone, ISDN, ADSL or Cable. I know how to apply firewalls and WEP encryption to secure networks.
